Interconnection

“Interconnection” (2023) is one of Jorge Blanco’s most riveting and majestic pieces. The sculpture has a commanding presence, suggesting many things all at once, drawing from his use of half-moon shapes, circles, and brutal colors to create a vivid tripod. First seen at the Epic Hotel in downtown Miami in December of 2023, the work is a testament to the many lessons Blanco has learned in more than forty years of sculpting, recalling his more abstract works while still incorporating naturalistic imagery.
